Job Title: Financial Services Tax - Real Estate Senior Manager

Job Responsibilities:
A career in the Financial Services Tax practice within Corporate Tax services at the company involves assisting clients in meeting their tax obligations while managing the impact of tax on their business operations. The responsibilities include advising clients on local and international tax affairs, acting as a strategic consultant in business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. The role also involves helping organizations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties and providing advice on the tax implications of deals. The company aids Financial Services clients in navigating the frequently changing and complex national and international tax environment, which includes stringent capital requirements, operational tax risk management, and tax implications of investments in various jurisdictions. The role requires helping clients with tax structuring while addressing the challenges of the constantly evolving tax landscape, both locally and globally.

As a Senior Manager, the candidate will work as part of a team of problem solvers, addressing complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include encouraging team members to voice their opinions, dealing with ambiguous and unstructured problems, initiating coaching conversations, managing details while considering the big picture, anticipating stakeholder needs, and developing potential solutions. The candidate will contribute technical knowledge in their area of specialization, foster an environment where people and technology work together, navigate the complexities of cross-border and diverse teams, and lead open conversations with teams, clients, and stakeholders to build trust. Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Field of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 5 years
- Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials

Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred Knowledge/Skills: Intimate knowledge of tax compliance methods, strategy consulting for Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), and Real Estate Partnerships. Considerable knowledge of partnership structures and their impact on real estate transactions and corresponding tax liabilities, and accounting of Unrelated Business Taxable Income.
- Comprehensive technical skills, including providing full services to real estate owners, developers, and investors, including publicly traded REITs, institutional real estate funds managed by financial institutions, and privately held real estate entities.
- Considerable experience in identifying and addressing client needs, building and maintaining client relationships, managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collections, and preparing complex written and verbal materials.
- Experience as a team leader, supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust, seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation, and providing timely meaningful feedback.

The candidate should demonstrate success as a tax technical business advisor, developing new relationships, making introductions to sell new services with a "One Firm" service mindset. Familiarity with a CRM system and knowledge of automation and digitization are preferred. Leading by example in a professional services environment includes innovating through new and existing technologies, experimenting with digitization solutions, working with large data sets to build models, leveraging data visualization tools, and utilizing digitization tools to optimize engagements.

Salary Information:
The salary range for the Financial Services Tax - Real Estate Senior Manager position is $119,300 - $328,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range. Actual compensation within this range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
