Responsibilities:

- Cultivate and generate new client relationships
- Manage new and existing client relationships
- Conduct trademark availability searches using . and international databases and vendors
- Prepare and prosecute . trademark applications, statements of use, renewals, and more
- Manage brand policing efforts, including reviewing trademark watch notices and drafting protest letters
- Handle TTAB actions and correspond with foreign associates
- Assist with trademark-related litigation in state and federal courts
- Design and implement processes to enhance group efficiency
- Complete domain name registrations and transfers, as well as UDRP actions
- Manage trademark-related matters in the docket system

Qualifications:

- Superior intellect and quick grasp of complex legal issues
- Strong work ethic and willingness to work as needed
- Good organizational and project management skills
- Proficient in online legal research services and resources
- Superior legal writing and oral communication skills
- Sound judgment and ability to work independently
- Demonstrated expertise in the field
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing environments
- Willingness to work hard in a fast-paced atmosphere

Education and Experience:

- Graduate of an accredited law school
- At least 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney
- Portable book of business of at least $350,000
- Admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia or state of Michigan and the USPTO
