Job Title: Labor and Employment Junior/Midlevel Associate
Job Responsibilities:
The labor and employment junior/midlevel associate will be a key member of the labor and employment practice within the law firm's Orange County office. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of legal tasks and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Representing employers in single-plaintiff litigation, PAGA actions, and class action litigation.
- Utilizing excellent academic credentials and strong writing skills to draft legal documents and correspondence.
- Engaging in legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
- Collaborating with senior attorneys and other associates to develop and implement case strategies.
- Participating in client meetings and maintaining communication to ensure client objectives and expectations are met.
- Attending court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as required.
- Supporting the labor and employment practice in various capacities, contributing to the overall success and growth of the department.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates interested in the labor and employment junior/midlevel associate position should meet the following educational and experiential qualifications:
- Possess a Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Have 2-5 years of experience working in a law firm setting, specifically within labor and employment law.
- Demonstrate meaningful experience in representing employers in legal matters, particularly in single-plaintiff litigation, PAGA actions, and class action litigation.
- Hold an active membership with the California Bar, which is a mandatory requirement for this position.
Salary Information:
The salary for the labor and employment junior/midlevel associate position in California is subject to a range that reflects various factors influencing compensation. The stated salary range for this role is $225,000 to $435,000. However, the final salary or hourly wage offered will be determined during the interview process and will depend on multiple factors, including:
- The candidate's prior experience and relevant expertise.
- The current business needs of the law firm.
- Market factors influencing compensation trends.
It is important to note that the final compensation package may exceed the specified range based on individual circumstances and other considerations.
