Job Title:
Lead Counsel, Sales, Reality Labs
Job Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on sales and marketing requirements for prescription eyewear in both first party and third party sales environments.
- Collaborate with insurance providers to develop prescription eyewear solutions that span various sales channels.
- Work effectively with a diverse, cross-functional group of attorneys and regulatory leaders to ensure compliance and strategic alignment.
- Draft and negotiate various types of agreements to support sales and marketing initiatives.
Education and Experience Information:
- A law degree or equivalent certificate is required to permit the practice of law. The candidate must be appropriately licensed and authorized to practice law for the company in their assigned work location.
- A current practicing certificate or local law equivalent bar registration/license may be required, depending on the jurisdiction of the assigned work location.
- A minimum of 5+ years of combined experience in a law firm, chambers, or in-house legal environment is necessary.
- Experience in prescription eyewear sales and/or marketing is required, ideally within a medical device company, eyewear sales company, insurance company, or another related organization.
- Experience in drafting and negotiating contracts is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in retail sales, distribution, and direct-to-consumer sales risks.
- Ability to translate complex legal advice into actionable guidance for clients and stakeholders.
- Experience in reviewing marketing assets and providing counsel on risk optimization.
- An interest in the future of virtual reality, mixed reality, and augmented reality, particularly as it pertains to eyewear, is highly desirable.
Salary Information:
- The base salary for this position ranges from $167,000 to $233,000 per year, with additional potential for bonuses, equity, and benefits.
- Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
- Compensation details listed reflect the base salary only and do not include bonuses, equity, or sales incentives.
