A law firm based in New York City is seeking a skilled Mid-level Consumer Products Associate Attorney with a minimum of 4 years of experience in regulatory counseling and enforcement related to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The ideal candidate will possess superb legal writing skills, impressive academic credentials, and strong references. They should be currently licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction or eligible to become licensed.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and strategic advice to clients on consumer product safety matters.
  • Conduct regulatory compliance reviews and assessments for consumer products.
  • Assist clients with CPSC investigations and enforcement actions.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including compliance policies and procedures.
  • Analyze and interpret federal and state laws related to consumer product safety.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop risk management strategies.
  • Stay updated on CPSC regulations, guidelines, and enforcement trends.
  • Represent clients in CPSC hearings, negotiations, and litigation matters.
  • Conduct legal research on consumer product safety issues.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar or ability to waive in.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in regulatory counseling and enforcement regarding the CPSC.
  • Superb legal writing skills with a track record of high-quality work.
  • Impressive academic credentials and strong professional references.
  • Current license to practice law in the jurisdiction or eligibility to become licensed.
  • Experience in consumer product safety regulations and compliance.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws related to consumer products.
