Job Title: Tax Manager, Value Chain Alignment
Job Responsibilities:
The Tax Manager in the Value Chain Alignment (VCA) services will play a crucial role in helping companies integrate operational and tax planning. The primary responsibilities include:
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of how clients operate, which involves building detailed work plans and project plans.
- Engaging in high-level benefit modeling to identify and analyze potential tax benefits for clients.
- Creating tailored presentations for various stakeholders, including C-Suite executives, tax departments, HR, and IT systems, to clearly and succinctly convey important information.
- Managing projects by coordinating across multiple service lines such as VAT, Customs, and other company member firms.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another business-related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work, with a preference for a focus on international taxation.
- Previous experience with a Big 4 accounting firm, public accounting, or consulting is preferred.
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model, requiring US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, depending on the work, clients, and industries/sectors served.
Required Certifications:
- One of the following active accreditations is required:
- Licensed CPA in the state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA.
- Licensed attorney, Enrolled Agent, or foreign equivalents of CPA, Licensed Attorney, or Enrolled Agent (requiring NSLL and National Tax Talent approval).
- Certain individuals may be eligible for other Tax Technology approved certifications, including but not limited to Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified SAFe certifications, Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, and others.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in participating in strategic planning initiatives.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Strong research, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong executive presence.
Salary Information:
The wage range for this role considers various factors, including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed salary range is $103,320 to $235,170. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, and it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range. Additionally, there may be eligibility for participation in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to rules governing the program, with awards based on individual and organizational performance.
