A law firm seeks a litigation associate in Cleveland, OH, to support its real property practice. The role involves managing the enforcement of property restrictions, contract disputes, construction-defect claims, and related matters, with significant client interaction and courtroom appearances.
Duties
Independently handle litigation matters from pleadings through trial and appeal.
Draft complaints, answers, motions, and discovery requests and responses.
Prepare witnesses and conduct and defend depositions.
Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and trial proceedings.
Advise clients on case status and legal strategy throughout the litigation lifecycle.
Requirements
Admission to the Ohio Bar in good standing.
Minimum of five years’ experience in real estate, corporate, contract, or governmental litigation.
Proven ability to manage a varied caseload and supervise support staff.
Availability for client meetings during business hours, some evenings, and weekends.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation management software.
Education
Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications
Member, State Bar of Ohio.
Skills
Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy abilities.
Strong client relations and public speaking capabilities.
Effective project and time management in high-volume settings.
