A reputable law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Mass Tort Team. This position focuses on representing individuals harmed by defective products and medical devices. The role involves managing a high volume of clients, conducting legal research and discovery, preparing pleadings, and making court appearances. This is a full-time, in-office opportunity designed for attorneys who are detail-oriented, organized, and committed to advocating for injured clients.

Location

• Edwardsville, IL

Duties

• Represent clients in mass tort litigation involving dangerous products and devices

• Research and draft legal pleadings, memoranda, and motions

• Conduct and review discovery

• Learn and apply case management procedures across various multidistrict litigations (MDLs)

• Maintain ongoing communication with clients and defense counsel

• Delegate and review tasks assigned to paralegals and legal assistants

• Appear in court as necessary

• Regularly perform job duties in-office at a workstation

Requirements

• 2–7 years of legal experience; mass tort experience preferred

• Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and deadlines

• Strong organizational and delegation skills

• Client-focused approach with a high level of responsiveness

• Ability to adapt to internal systems and case management platforms

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in any . state

• Licensure in Missouri and/or Illinois preferred

• Must pass a pre-employment background check

Skills

• Legal research and writing proficiency

• Familiarity with litigation procedures, including discovery and motion practice

• Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook

• Ability to learn document and client management systems

• Strategic problem-solving and time management
