Job Title: Corporate Counsel (Healthcare)

Job Responsibilities:
The Corporate Counsel is responsible for providing legal support and advice for the MedTech business unit, focusing on corporate, commercial, healthcare, and regulatory matters. Key duties include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and revising various commercial agreements such as product purchase, supply, manufacturing, distribution, license, and service agreements.
- Leading negotiations for contracts with clients and suppliers, supported by key business stakeholders.
- Supporting strategic commercial initiatives and customer proposals.
- Aiding insourcing and supply chain restructuring to enhance cost savings, efficiencies, and quality standards.
- Managing corporate entity and manufacturing licensing and registration programs, coordinating with third-party service providers.
- Resolving disputes with key suppliers and service providers.
- Advising on compliance with laws and regulations, including federal and state anti-kickback laws, DEA, FDA, and state boards of pharmacy.
- Handling FDA submissions, reports, communications, product recalls, and negotiating various contracts.
- Reviewing communications related to regulatory and FDA matters.
- Assessing advertising, promotion, and social media materials for global legal and regulatory compliance.
- Advising on legal and regulatory risks impacting business, including regulatory strategy, product development, approvals, and post-approval compliance.
- Reviewing conference requests, sponsorship opportunities, and new product labeling for compliance.
- Collaborating with legal team leaders to support corporate legal affairs.
- Providing day-to-day legal counseling on healthcare, regulatory, and corporate matters.
- Participating as a legal representative on cross-functional teams and projects.
- Staying updated on legal, regulatory, and governmental developments affecting the company and industry.
- Directing outside counsel and internal support staff.
- Training business personnel on contracting policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with various departments across all levels within the company.

Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and eligibility to practice in-house in Illinois.
- At least 3 years of relevant legal experience in a top law firm or in-house legal department.
- Significant experience with medical device, life sciences, or pharmaceutical companies, handling legal and regulatory requirements such as FDA submissions and product recalls.
- Healthcare legal and regulatory experience is advantageous, including familiarity with the Anti-Kickback Statute, the False Claims Act, the Stark Law, HIPAA, privacy laws, and the PhRMA Code.
- Demonstrated competency in healthcare, regulatory, and commercial legal matters.
- Strong analytical, research, drafting, negotiating, communication, and relational skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple demands and a significant workload.
- Good working knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and industry codes applicable to medical device and pharmaceutical companies.

Salary Information:
The salary range for the Corporate Counsel position is $160,000 - $185,000 per year. The position is eligible for a bonus plan with a target of 16% of the base salary. Final pay determinations depend on factors such as experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
