Job Title: Lead AI Solutions Engineer

Job Responsibilities:
As a Lead AI Solutions Engineer, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team working at the intersection of science, product, and engineering. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing zero-to-one concepts for expert systems.
- Systematically discovering and testing prompt engineering best practices.
- Optimizing data sets for prompt development, model training, and evaluation.
- Helping create and maintain the infrastructure required for efficient prompt development.
- Testing and assessing open-source solutions for LLM application development, including orchestration frameworks, tool interfaces, and solutions for context management.
- Developing automated techniques for the design and evaluation of AI agents.
- Analyzing usage data to gauge the effectiveness of AI solutions and iteratively improve them.
- Staying updated with the latest research and emerging technologies for AI Engineering.

Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for the role of Lead AI Solutions Engineer, candidates are required to have:
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or Data Science, or a Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience.
- At least 7+ years of transferrable experience in natural language processing (NLP).
- Basic familiarity with the architecture and operation of large language models.
- A strong desire to work closely with subject matter experts on real-world use cases.
- Active interest in emerging research and industry trends around AI software development.
- Proficiency in Python and AI development tools.
- A mindset for good experiment design and evaluation, as well as strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.

Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working on legal AI systems (., for contract analysis, legal research, or drafting).
- Domain knowledge in legal, tax, or accounting, with a law degree (.), paralegal experience, etc.
- A portfolio of projects demonstrating creativity and skill in building solutions with LLMs.
- Experience developing NLP applications involving Named Entity Recognition (NER), information retrieval, text summarization, question answering, or similar.
- Knowledge of MLOps and the end-to-end lifecycle of software applications involving AI models.

Salary Information:
For eligible US locations, the base compensation range for the Lead AI Solutions Engineer role is $116,900 - $217,100. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors, including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other well-being programs.
