Salary Range: $63,420 - $144,300 (adjusted for geographic location)

Experience: 3+ years in federal taxation with a strong emphasis on tax-exempt organizations, Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field, and one of the following active accreditations: CPA, attorney, Enrolled Agent, Chartered Financial Advisor, or Certified Financial Planner.
Position Summary:
- Seeking a strategic and creative federal tax professional with experience in tax-exempt organizations to join Deloitte's Business Tax Services team.
- This role will focus on providing tax compliance and consulting services to non-profit clients in various industries.

What You'll Do:
- Spend at least 50% (potentially 100%) of time serving non-profit clients, including health care providers, private foundations, public charities, higher education institutions, and other organizations.
- Provide tax compliance and consulting services, such as restructuring, acquisition planning, tax controversy, and philanthropic tax planning.
- Work directly with clients, manage the tax engagement team, and collaborate with Tax-Exempt specialists from across the country.
The Team:
- Deloitte has a large national team of experienced professionals dedicated to serving non-profit organizations and donors.
- The team includes specialists in multi-state tax compliance, international tax, and transfer tax planning.
- Collaboration with Consulting, Audit & Assurance, and Advisory colleagues is encouraged.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Ability to work within a hybrid work model, with in-person co-location 2-3 days per week.
- 3+ years of experience in federal taxation, with a strong emphasis on tax-exempt organizations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field.
- Active accreditation as a CPA, attorney, Enrolled Agent, Chartered Financial Advisor, or Certified Financial Planner.
- Ability to travel up to 25% on average.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree (Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM).
- Previous experience with Big 4 or large CPA firms.
- Strong understanding of federal tax compliance, analysis, and research.
- Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring specific to tax-exempt organizations.
- Excellent research, writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong management and analytical skills.
