Job Title: Manager - Sales & Use Tax
Job Responsibilities:
- Understanding sales & use taxes and identifying optimal filing options.
- Analyzing and reviewing apportionment information.
- Consistently identifying engagement and operating opportunities for improvement and providing timely solutions and consultation.
- Understanding nexus and revenue sourcing issues.
- Managing multiple concurrent engagements without disruption or loss of control and within scheduled deadlines.
- Planning and researching tax issues.
- Managing multiple client relationships, billings, and resource needs.
- Preparing technical memorandums.
- Providing audit assistance.
- Assisting with state income tax compliance.
- Assisting in managing, developing, and coaching professional staff.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience is required, with public accounting experience being mandatory. The experience can include a combination of public accounting (tax) and/or industry experience.
- A CPA license or a . or designation is preferred.
Salary Information:
- The salary range for this position, specific to the Illinois market, is between $80,000 and $140,000.
- The salary will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position.
- Non-exempt/hourly positions will be eligible for time and a half pay for employees who work over 40 hours in a workweek.
- Benefits are eligibility-based and could include group health plan benefits, 401(K), bonuses, profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave.
