Job Overview:
A Schaumburg-based law firm is seeking a driven and client-focused Associate Attorney with a strong foundation in real estate transactions and an interest in expanding into estate planning and probate. This position combines independent case handling with opportunities to collaborate across practice areas in a supportive, growth-oriented environment. Duties:

  • Facilitate both residential and commercial property transactions from initial agreement to final closing

  • Draft, edit, and review legal documentation including contracts, purchase agreements, wills, trusts, and probate filings

  • Represent clients at property closings and probate proceedings

  • Provide strategic advice to clients in real estate, estate planning, and probate matters

  • Coordinate with internal legal professionals to manage a substantial transaction volume efficiently

  • Utilize case management platforms such as Smokeball and WealthCounsel to streamline workflow

  • Participate in initiatives aimed at expanding estate planning and probate service lines

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience handling real estate legal matters

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage property closings

  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-sensitive setting

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

  • Familiarity with digital legal tools such as Smokeball and WealthCounsel (preferred)

  • Bilingual capabilities (preferred)

  • Portable client base (preferred but not required)

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Illinois State Bar

Skills:
