Job Title: Student Intern

Job Responsibilities:
- Interns will perform the full range of law clerk responsibilities, which includes conducting legal research and writing.
- Interns will have the opportunity to observe various lawyering activities, allowing them to gain practical experience in the field of law.
- Interns will attend court proceedings, client meetings, depositions, and other special events to gain insight into the legal process and the responsibilities of civil attorneys.
- Interns will be eligible to participate in training sessions offered to Deputy Attorneys General throughout the year, enhancing their legal skills and knowledge.
- Interns will be assigned to a specific section within the Division of Law, allowing them to specialize in areas such as education law, civil rights litigation, complex financial transactions, or child protection proceedings.

Education and Experience Information:
- The internship is open to law students only, providing them with an opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in a professional setting.
- Students may apply to work in one of 11 sections based in Newark, 14 sections based in Trenton, or 1 section in Voorhees, offering a variety of legal areas to focus on.
