Duties

  • Serve as lead trial counsel in New York Labor Law and related litigation matters

  • Manage litigation caseload from inception through trial and post-trial motions

  • Draft and argue pleadings, motions, and trial briefs

  • Conduct depositions, manage discovery, and engage expert witnesses

  • Provide strategic litigation planning, risk assessment, and client communication

  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations

  • Supervise junior attorneys and collaborate with litigation teams

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience, including trial experience

  • Substantial background in New York Labor Law litigation (first-chair trial experience required)

  • Experience with general liability, premises liability, and municipal liability matters

  • Strong ability to manage complex case files and meet procedural deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited . law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the State of New York (in good standing)

Skills

  • Exceptional trial advocacy and courtroom presence

  • Proficient in litigation strategy, legal analysis, and persuasive writing

  • Strong research and drafting capabilities

  • Skilled in deposition management and witness preparation
