Job Title: Tax Senior Manager - Private Companies

Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Senior Manager within the department, the candidate will be involved in providing business advisory services to private companies, focusing on audit, tax compliance, and planning to enhance operational efficiency and strategic business focus. The candidate will have the opportunity to experience the entire business life cycle of a private company from inception to growth, maturity, and transition. Key responsibilities include:

- Working as part of a team of problem solvers, addressing complex business issues from strategy to execution.
- Encouraging team members to voice their opinions, including quieter members, and dealing effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems.
- Initiating open and candid coaching conversations at all levels and moving easily between big picture thinking and managing relevant details.
- Anticipating stakeholder needs, developing, and discussing potential solutions even before stakeholders recognize the need.
- Contributing technical knowledge in areas of specialization and fostering an environment where people and technology thrive together.
- Navigating the complexities of cross-border and/or diverse teams and engagements, and initiating and leading open conversations with teams, clients, and stakeholders to build trust.
- Upholding the company's code of ethics and business conduct.

The candidate will also play a role in providing innovative tax advisory services, focusing on the unique needs of private companies and their owners. This includes managing complex transactions with an advanced level of sophistication and utilizing technical knowledge, specialization, and industry insights to address client needs.

Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 6 years
- Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials

Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrates intimate-level knowledge and/or a proven record of success in complex tax issues faced by non-publicly traded companies and day-to-day compliance and consulting for various entities.
- Proven ability to identify and address client needs, build and maintain networks of client relationships, and communicate value propositions effectively.
- Proficiency in managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collections, and preparing or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.
- Experience in supervising teams, fostering an atmosphere of trust, and promoting diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation.
- Proven ability to provide timely, meaningful written and verbal feedback to staff and demonstrate leadership as a business advisor.
- Experience in developing new relationships, selling new services with a "One Firm" service mindset, and innovating through new and existing technologies.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $119,300 - $328,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
