Deloitte Tax LLP's Gi3 practice is seeking a Tax Senior with a passion for sustainability and ESG to join our growing team. With over 1,000 practitioners across 150 countries, we provide comprehensive government credits and incentives services to some of the world's largest companies. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals and collaborate with colleagues across all member firms to provide high-value sustainability and ESG C&I services.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Federal C&I engagements related to sustainability and ESG, including programs under the Internal Revenue Code
- Identify opportunities and advise clients on potential benefits and eligibility requirements
- Develop strong internal and client relationships
- Monitor current and proposed tax legislation and regulations related to sustainability and ESG
- Collaborate with member firms to execute work streams and identify potential issues and solutions
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of engagement deliverables
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax developments and present potential opportunities to assist clients
- Provide support for internal initiatives and special tax-related projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, engineering, technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in a related field
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proven leadership skills and ability to collaborate and develop relationships
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Licensed CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, or other relevant certification (in process or willing and able to obtain)
- Advanced degree (Masters of Tax, JD, LLM) preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience working in a virtual or global environment
- Passion for leveraging technology and exploring new solutions
- Previous experience in a Big 4 or large CPA/law firm preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
