Job Title: Principal Specialist, Contracts (Onsite)
Job Responsibilities:
The Principal Specialist, Contracts will support the Global PATRIOT Program within the Land & Air Defense Systems Strategic Business Unit. The role involves managing critical contracts for the PATRIOT . Programs, Production, and Upgrades Team. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing cradle-to-grave contract activities, including proposal preparation, contract negotiation, administration, and closeout.
- Enabling significant customer activities to fulfill contract requirements according to company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
- Partnering with Program and cross-functional team members in a fast-paced environment to develop creative solutions and resolve contractual issues.
- Constructing, submitting, and negotiating proposals while ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Advising management on contractual rights, obligations, and potential risk mitigation strategies.
- Interfacing with customers by preparing for and leading status meetings and drafting official correspondence on contractual issues.
- Researching and advising on solutions to contractual issues requiring detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation using applicable regulations and laws.
- Analyzing Requests for Proposals (RFP), drafting proposals, and managing contract negotiations, TINA Sweeps, and administration through contract closeout.
- Reviewing and processing contractual modifications and managing multiple contracts and complex issues simultaneously.
Education and Experience Information:
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a . Government issued security clearance, requiring . citizenship.
- Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and equivalent . Government regulations.
- Experience in . Government contract management or administrative support activities, including pre-award activities, contract negotiation, administration, and closeout.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with DoD Systems contracts of varying types (Firm Fixed, Cost, Cost Plus) and end customers (DoD, Foreign Military Sales).
- Experience in a cross-functional, geographically separated team environment, fostering relationships based on respect and trust.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight in a fast-paced environment requiring prioritization.
- Advanced Degrees such as Juris Doctorate (JD), Masters of Business Administration (MBA), or certifications like Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM).
- Active . Government DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this role is between 82,000 USD and 164,000 USD. This range is a good faith estimate representing all experience levels. The company considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, associated responsibilities, candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Incentive Compensation:
