Job Title: Associate General Counsel

Job Responsibilities:
- Document preparation: The Associate General Counsel is responsible for preparing, reviewing, evaluating, and negotiating various types of documents. This includes agreements such as confidentiality, services, and other agreements, as well as corporate documents like operational agreements, minutes, and resolutions. The role also involves handling immigration-related supporting documents, proposal documents needed for qualification statements and proposals, legal reports on a weekly and monthly basis, and drafting legal memoranda on various issues as necessary.
- Policies and training: The role involves developing and recommending policies and training on numerous legal issues. The Associate General Counsel also provides support relating to policies in other departments within the company.
- Risk evaluation: Identifying risks and providing advice on proposed projects is a key responsibility, ensuring that legal risks are minimized, and compliance is maintained.
- Claims management: The Associate General Counsel investigates and manages both first-party and third-party claims, ensuring the company’s interests are protected.
- External counsel management: Retaining, managing, and supervising outside counsel is part of the role, ensuring that external legal services align with the company’s needs and objectives.
- Representation: Representing the company in various meetings and legal proceedings, advocating for the company’s interests and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Platform and data management: Managing legal platforms, including registered agent and legal research platforms, and handling data in Teams and SharePoint sites are essential tasks in this role.

Education and Experience Information:
- The candidate must have 7-10+ years of experience, particularly within the infrastructure industry.
- A JD degree from an ABA-approved law school is required, ensuring the candidate has a solid legal education foundation.
- Active membership in the Texas bar is essential, allowing the candidate to practice law in Texas.
- The role requires strong analytical, judgment, and communication skills, ensuring effective legal analysis and decision-making.
- The candidate should be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of self-management within a diverse team, promoting a collaborative work environment.
