Law Firm Seeks Experienced Corporate Associate Attorney in Toledo or Columbus
Shumaker is seeking an experienced and driven Corporate Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team in either Toledo or Columbus, Ohio. As a member of our Corporate, Tax & Transactional Service Line, you will have the opportunity to work on sophisticated and challenging tax matters for clients both locally and nationally.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and general corporate matters
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on securities matters
- Utilize strong research skills to navigate online services and databases
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and superiors
- Maintain confidentiality and work independently
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school
- Admitted to Ohio bar or eligible for admission
- 3+ years of experience in corporate law
- Strong technological skills, including proficiency with practice management systems and portals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds occasionally
- Bending and stooping occasionally
