Job Title: Manager, SR&ED-CDAE
Job Responsibilities:
The Manager, SR&ED-CDAE at the company will initially focus on developing core skills in preparing SR&ED-CDAE tax incentive claims under the mentorship of senior practitioners. As the individual builds skills and knowledge, the role will expand to include several key responsibilities:
- Scoping and interviewing clients to understand their needs and eligibility for SR&ED tax credits.
- Conducting audit defense to ensure compliance with tax legislation.
- Engaging in sales activities to promote the company's services.
- Building and maintaining deep client relationships to become a trusted business advisor.
- Managing more complex and strategic projects, gaining a broader view of business challenges and solutions beyond SR&ED-CDAE.
- Effectively communicating with technical and non-technical management and staff within client organizations and third-party organizations like the Canada Revenue Agency.
- Working independently within a high-performance team environment.
- Applying excellent project management skills to meet the demands of the position.
Education and Experience Information:
- A university degree in tax, accounting, finance, or law, or a bachelor's degree in accounting.
- 3 to 5 years of specific experience in preparing SR&ED tax credit claims.
- Ability to understand financial data clearly and highlight key items.
- Capability to understand, analyze, and interpret tax legislation governing the SR&ED program to determine and support the eligibility of expenses.
- CPA designation is considered an asset.
Salary Information:
The salary range for the Manager, SR&ED-CDAE position at the company is $84,000 to $140,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in the company's bonus program.
