Job Title: Sr. Counsel - Healthcare

Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Counsel will play a crucial role in supporting the director by providing legal counsel and guidance to the hospital and its affiliated entities. Key responsibilities include:
- Offering legal counsel to the hospital and its affiliated entities.
- Providing legal opinions and memoranda to the hospital’s management and staff under the director's guidance.
- Conducting research, investigations, and remediation of legal and corporate compliance issues.
- Reviewing policies and procedures within the hospital and researching applicable legal issues.
- Assisting with litigation-related activities as directed.
- Drafting, reviewing, and revising contractual agreements entered into by the hospital and its affiliated entities.
- Coordinating and assisting in contract negotiations and the execution of contractual agreements.
- Researching applicable laws, rules, and regulations that impact specific contracts or the contracting process.
- Collaborating with other attorneys in the department on various projects.
- Working directly with hospital leaders on assigned projects.

Education and Experience Information:
- Required: Juris Doctor Degree (JD).
- Required: License to practice law in the State of Texas. If the candidate does not have a Texas law license, they must have and maintain a license to practice law in another state and obtain a Texas license within 18 months of hire.
- Required: 2 years of attorney experience.
- Preferred: 4 years of experience as a licensed attorney with a focus on healthcare.
