Job Responsibilities:
Interns assisting district staff will have the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge about how a Congressional office provides constituent services and interacts with the community. Responsibilities in this role include supporting the district staff in various tasks related to constituent services and community interactions. Interns in Washington, ., will work closely with the legislative, communications, and constituent services staff to learn about the legislative process and the federal government. Specific duties may involve assisting with legislative research, attending hearings and briefings, drafting correspondence, and supporting communications initiatives.
Education and Experience Information:
Internships are open to any interested students, regardless of major. Candidates should be students at a college or university, with education status options including college freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or college graduate/postgraduate.
