The Congressional District Office is seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as summer interns. This is a great opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in the political and public service field while making a difference in their local community.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day office tasks such as answering phones, writing letters, and organizing media clips
- Work on constituent case work and assist with District-based projects
- Conduct research on specific issues or areas of interest
- Attend meetings and events with staff members
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in college or university, or a recent graduate
- Interest in politics and public service
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Previous internships or experience in a political setting preferred
Salary and Benefits:
This is an unpaid internship, however, students may be able to earn school credit for their participation. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience and make connections in the political field. Interns will also have the opportunity to attend events and meetings with staff members and other interns.
