Location:
Duties:
- Provide tax planning and advisory services across federal, state, and international tax matters.
- Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and corporate finance transactions.
- Support clients with equity financings, technology transfers, and complex licensing and collaboration arrangements.
- Assist with both domestic and international tax planning strategies.
- Collaborate with other departments to offer comprehensive, cross-disciplinary legal services.
- Maintain strong client relationships and deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.
- Draft and review tax-related documents, agreements, and filings.
- Manage a diverse case load while meeting deadlines and client expectations.
- Participate in business development efforts, including client presentations and pitches.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in tax law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and corporate finance.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and international tax law.
- Previous experience working with clients in technology, life sciences, or growth enterprises is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Strong academic credentials.
Certifications:
- Active bar membership in a relevant jurisdiction.
- Additional certifications (., CPA) are a plus but not required.
