Job Title: Tax Director - Private Companies
Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Director within the company, you will be working as part of a team of problem solvers to address complex business issues, from strategy to execution. Your responsibilities will include supporting teams to innovate and improve working methodologies, arranging and sponsoring assignments to help individuals realize their potential, identifying market gaps to create value propositions, and looking for opportunities to scale efficiencies across various projects. You will be responsible for creating an environment where people and technology can work together effectively, promoting and encouraging diversity in teams, and driving the development of connections that benefit both people and stakeholders. Additionally, you will influence and facilitate the creation of long-term relationships that add value to the company and uphold the company's code of ethics and business conduct.
In your role, you will lead as a tax advisor dedicated to innovation, providing clients with the necessary skills and technology to problem-solve and deliver sustained outcomes. You will adopt a practical and holistic approach to meet the unique needs of private companies and their owners. This role requires handling complex transactions with a high level of sophistication, supported by technical knowledge, specialization, and industry insights that address client needs.

- Minimum Years of Experience: 8 years
- Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred knowledge and skills for this position include a demonstrated thought leader-level knowledge and/or proven record of success in assisting companies to understand and assess the tax impact of business operations and transactions across multiple jurisdictions. This is preferably for a global network of professional services firms, law firms, or corporate tax departments of multinational companies. Key areas of expertise include:
- Application of deep understanding of tax compliance and consulting for various entities, including corporations, partnerships, pass-through entities, and Subchapter S corporations.
- Demonstration of technical prowess with ASC740.
- Identification and addressing of client needs, developing and sustaining client relationships.
- Utilization of networking, negotiation, and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities.
- Preparation and presentation of complex written and verbal materials.
- Definition of resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collection.
- Leadership of teams to generate a vision, establish direction, and motivate members.
- Creation of an atmosphere of trust, leveraging diverse views, coaching staff, and encouraging improvement and innovation.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $140,900 - $434,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range. Actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
