A law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Commercial Litigation team in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial litigation and be self-directed with the ability to manage client files with partner oversight. The position requires strong expertise in the New York practice and a detailed knowledge of CPLR, with responsibilities spanning from preparing pleadings to conducting trials and court appearances.

Duties:
Manage a caseload of commercial litigation matters, with autonomy in day-to-day case management.
Prepare pleadings, discovery, and motions.
Conduct depositions, court appearances, and trials.
Resolve and settle legal disputes on behalf of clients.
Build and maintain client relationships, providing an excellent customer experience.
Provide legal advice and conduct legal research to inform case strategies.
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a strong background in New York practice.
Labor and employment experience is a plus.
In-depth knowledge of CPLR (Civil Practice Law and Rules).
Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide effective solutions.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight.
Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the New York State Bar (required).
Admission to the New Jersey Bar is a plus.
Education:
Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Active membership in the New York State Bar (required).
Admission to the New Jersey Bar (preferred).
Skills:
Strong experience in commercial litigation and knowledge of CPLR.
