Associate Attorney The candidate will join law firm with an emphasis in creditor s rights and collections seeks an associate attorney. Missouri license required and Illinois license preferred. Successful candidate will be one who thrives in courtroom setting and provides good guidance and direction to staff; position provides attorney with valuable experience in court appearances, motion practice and argument, and trying cases. Some travel within Missouri required. Collection experience preferred. Frequent court appearances for dockets, hearings and trials. Prepare pleadings, motions and discovery responses. Legal research and writing. Review and signing of pleadings. Review of new claims. Review and approval of garnishments. Should have . Degree. Licensed in Missouri, dual licensing in Illinois a plus. Familiarity with consumer protection laws, including the FDCPA. Minimum 1 year experience preferred. Maintained required continuing legal education as required.
