The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling personal injury cases, from inception through trial or resolution. This role involves extensive case-related research, client interaction, court appearances, and negotiation skills. Duties:

  • Handle litigation caseload from inception through trial or resolution
  • Conduct extensive case-related research into relevant laws and regulations
  • Negotiate on behalf of clients
  • Draft and interpret contracts and legal documents
  • Attend court hearings and trials
  • Prepare pleadings and letters
  • Handle discovery requests and take depositions
  • Draft motions, responses, and other filings in state and federal court cases
  • Investigate facts relevant to each case
  • Appear in court and interact with clients
  • Manage discovery matters, including discovery requests, responses, and motions

Requirements:

  • License to practice law in the State of Florida in accordance with the Florida Bar Association
  • Minimum of 2 years of plaintiff litigation experience
  • Specific exposure to personal injury and property damage litigation preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar Association

Skills:

  • Strong research skills
  • Significant experience with written and electronic discovery
  • Experience in taking depositions
  • Proficiency in trial preparation and participation
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently
