Job Title: Tax Senior - Private Wealth
Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Senior in the Private Wealth Tax practice, the primary responsibilities include performing high-level reviews of tax research pertaining to individual, fiduciary, partnership, closely-held corporations, estate, and gift work papers as well as tax returns. The role involves preparing for and assisting in client meetings on compliance and consulting projects, particularly in relation to tax planning opportunities and the tax implications of transactions to the client. The position requires delivering compliance and consulting services to individual clients and their trusts, estates, family offices, investment vehicles, charitable pursuits, and closely-held business concerns, while providing solutions to complex tax issues.
Education and Experience Information:
The candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another business-related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns is required. The role demands experience in reviewing trust documents. Candidates must have excellent technology skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel and compliance software, along with research and writing skills. Additionally, the ability to travel up to 25% on average is required, based on the work and clients served. One of the following active accreditations must be obtained, in process, or the candidate must be willing and able to obtain: Licensed CPA in the state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA, Licensed attorney, or Enrolled Agent. Certifications such as Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) are also relevant. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree such as MST, JD, or LLM, prior Big 4 experience, strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, and the ability to articulate conclusions, planning opportunities, and risks identified through research projects.
Salary Information:
The wage range for this role considers a wide range of factors, including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range is $66,570 to $151,580, though it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, as compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Additionally, candidates may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program. Awards, if any, depend on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
