Job Title: Insurance Defense Attorney

Job Responsibilities:
The Insurance Defense Attorney will be a part of the law firm's national and international maritime and insurance litigation practices. Responsibilities include:
- Proposing litigation strategies.
- Communicating effectively with clients and opposing counsel.
- Drafting reports, pleadings, discovery, and motions.
- Taking and defending depositions.
- Arguing motions in court.
- Participating in mediations and trials.
- Engaging in significant business development training.
- Working with dedicated associate and partner mentors.
- Participating in a firm-wide associate committee to liaise with partners.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must meet the following educational and experience requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of insurance defense experience in a law firm setting.
- Must be licensed to practice in California and in good standing.
- Additional admissions in other states are considered a plus.
- Possess an excellent academic background.
- Demonstrated superior research, writing, and communication skills.
- Well-organized and self-motivated.
- Experience handling all phases of the litigation process, including drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, and managing appeals.

Salary Information:
The compensation for the Insurance Defense Attorney position ranges from $150,000 to $200,000 annually. The salary is contingent upon factors such as:
- Level of experience.
- Practice group.
- Location.
- Other job-related factors permitted by law.
