Legal Counsel - Commercial Litigation
Job Responsibilities:
As a member of the commercial litigation team, the Legal Counsel will provide legal support for all products and businesses. The responsibilities include managing the day-to-day progress of complex litigation, formulating and driving legal strategy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across all product areas. The role requires a high degree of self-sufficiency, independent judgment, and a trial-focused approach. The Legal Counsel will operate as part of a supportive team of lawyers, legal specialists, and support staff to protect the company's interests. Travel is anticipated in this role.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 4+ years of consumer class action litigation experience at a major law firm and/or in-house
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent
- Admission to at least one US state bar
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in litigating privacy and AI-related disputes
- A strong interest in and aptitude for technology
- Meaningful trial and/or arbitration experience
- Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills
Salary Information:
The base pay range for this role is between $193,000 and $290,100. The actual base pay will depend on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The compensation package includes the opportunity to become a shareholder through participation in discretionary employee stock programs, eligibility for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and the ability to purchase stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Additional benefits include comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounted products and free services, reimbursement for certain educational expenses related to career advancement, and potential eligibility for discretionary bonuses or commission payments, as well as relocation support.
