An established Alabama-based family law firm is seeking an experienced Family Law Litigation Attorney to take the lead on complex, high-conflict cases. This role is ideal for a litigator who combines legal precision with a compassionate client-centered approach. From pleadings to post-judgment litigation, this is a hands-on role for attorneys who are confident in court and driven to make a difference.

Manage cases from intake through trial and post-judgment litigation
Draft and argue motions, conduct discovery, and oversee expert coordination
Handle mediations, hearings, depositions, and trials as lead counsel
Conduct client meetings, develop legal strategies, and assign tasks to support staff
Maintain professionalism and empathy in client communications
Occasionally provide case-related support outside standard work hours
Substantial courtroom and litigation experience in family law
Lead counsel in at least 10 contested family law trials
Conducted 5 or more depositions of opposing parties
Participated in 3 or more formal mediations (half-day or longer)
Authored 3+ complex legal writing projects (., appellate briefs or substantive motions)
Proficient in managing caseloads and supervising legal support staff
Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing with the Alabama State Bar
Strong litigation, strategy, and advocacy capabilities
Confident courtroom demeanor with high emotional intelligence
Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Gmail, Drive) and Clio or similar case management software
Familiarity with legal research tools (., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
Strong writing and analytical skills
Highly organized, responsive, and adaptable
Detail-oriented and willing to take on tactical tasks as needed
