Job Title: Senior Director Security & Defense Policy
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Director Security & Defense Policy is responsible for leading the company's advocacy efforts in various critical areas including national security, defense technology, supply chain resilience, and global technology diplomacy. This strategic position is part of the Global Geopolitical and Government Relations team and involves direct engagement with . federal agencies such as the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and the State Department. The role also involves collaboration with the White House National Security Council. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders in corporate affairs and business units to identify policy issues critical to the company's goals.
- Developing and executing advocacy strategies, including direct engagement, written submissions, and thought leadership.
- Representing the company in trade associations and managing third-party consultants to amplify the company's policy positions.
- Supporting the . defense business unit by identifying strategic opportunities and facilitating high-impact government engagements.
- Leading policy engagement on network security issues, both domestically and internationally.
Education and Experience Information:
The role requires a bachelor's degree, with a law degree or advanced degree in a related field being strongly preferred. Candidates must possess a minimum of seven years of experience in strategic policy advocacy, with a proven track record of engaging effectively with government stakeholders. Experience working with executive branch agencies or congressional offices is highly desirable. Familiarity with the Department of Defense and other national security agencies, particularly in areas related to acquisition and budget processes, is strongly preferred. Expertise in security, defense, and supply chain policies, including their intersection with communications technology, is essential.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position in the US/Canada is $147,608 - $274,130, plus eligible incentives/variable pay. The salary is negotiable depending upon the candidate's experience.
