Tax Senior Manager - Financial Services Organization - Private Client Services

Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Tax Senior Manager in the Financial Services Organization's Private Client Services include:
- Reviewing complex individual tax returns and providing income tax planning and advice to high-net-worth individuals and families, developing into a trusted advisor role for clients.
- Collaborating with specialists in other areas such as International Tax, State and Local Tax, and Asset Management to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
- Managing, coaching, and developing a team of tax professionals, reviewing their work, and ensuring they have the knowledge, tools, and opportunities needed to excel.
- Performing high-quality reviews of complex tax returns.
- Possessing extensive knowledge and experience in handling hedge fund and private equity K-1s.
- Researching tax issues to develop effective tax planning strategies and translating complex data from a range of sources into client-ready insights and deliverables.
- Building effective long-term relationships with clients by understanding their unique needs and providing tailored services.
- Maintaining a reputation in the field by constantly updating and sharing technical and best practice knowledge.
- Identifying and reacting to risks and opportunities to improve services and processes.

Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for the role, candidates must have:
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, supported by significant tax or financial planning experience.
- A CPA license or be a licensed Attorney.
- A minimum of 8 years of work experience in professional services or a professional tax organization.
- A thorough understanding of estate and wealth planning.
- Experience with federal and state personal and trust income tax.
- Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills, with the confidence to challenge senior colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- A thorough understanding of automated tax processing systems and laws within the area of technical professionalism.

Ideally, candidates will also have:
- A proven record in high-net-worth tax planning.
- A proven record in a professional services environment.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to adapt work style to work with both internal and client team members.

Salary Information:
The position offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $130,800 to $298,600. For the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the base salary range is $156,900 to $339,300. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined by various factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. The Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
