Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A Philadelphia-based law firm with a regional litigation footprint is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its growing hybrid practice. This full-time position is ideal for a motivated legal professional with up to five years of experience in litigation who is eager to engage in a wide variety of civil matters. The role offers hands-on involvement from day one, working closely with experienced partners in a collaborative team setting. The firm handles diverse areas, including general liability, professional liability, labor and employment, healthcare, and medical malpractice.

Duties:

  • Manage all stages of civil litigation, from case initiation to expert discovery

  • Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, settlement agreements, affidavits, and memoranda

  • Conduct and respond to written discovery; perform depositions and legal research

  • Attend court proceedings such as conferences, depositions, and hearings

  • Evaluate and negotiate settlements with opposing counsel

  • Provide legal strategy and analysis to clients throughout the litigation process

  • Summarize discovery, deposition transcripts, and case updates for internal and client reporting

Requirements:

  • 05 years of litigation experience in Pennsylvania

  • Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage discovery, depositions, and motions

  • Comfortable with a fast-paced litigation schedule and shifting priorities

  • Strong legal research and writing capabilities

  • Familiarity with both Pennsylvania state and federal civil procedure rules

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Pennsylvania Bar

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience using Lexis for legal research

  • Excellent communication and client interaction skills

  • Strong time management and organizational abilities

  • Ability to adapt to hybrid work settings and collaborate across teams
