Job Overview:
A leading international law firm is actively seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney with 3 to 5 years of experience in private fund formation and operations to join its Asset Management and Investment Funds practice. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with significant experience advising general partners (GPs) and fund sponsors. The role offers direct client engagement, increasing levels of responsibility, and mentorship within a dynamic and collaborative team across major . offices.

Location:

Duties:

  • Advise private fund sponsors on fund formation, structuring, and ongoing operational matters

  • Draft and negotiate fund offering documents, limited partnership agreements, and side letters

  • Provide counsel on legal, regulatory, and compliance issues impacting private investment funds

  • Engage directly with clients, taking an active role in relationship development and management

  • Collaborate with internal teams across practice areas and geographies

  • Conduct legal research and support business development initiatives

  • Participate in mentorship and knowledge-sharing programs within the practice group

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of relevant legal experience, particularly on the general partner side of private funds

  • Prior involvement in representing both emerging and established fund sponsors

  • Ability to manage complex matters and collaborate effectively within a team setting

  • Demonstrated initiative, strong work ethic, and sound legal judgment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited . law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the bar of the applicable state

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of private fund structures and investment strategies

  • Excellent legal drafting and communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop trusted client relationships

  • Organizational proficiency and the ability to manage multiple deadlines

  • Familiarity with relevant SEC regulations and compliance frameworks

  • Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to service excellence
