Job Responsibilities

As a 2026 2L Finance Summer Associate at the law firm, you will engage in a range of substantive legal work and receive guidance through the following responsibilities:

- Participate as a full member of the law firm's 2026 Summer Associate Program within the Finance Business Unit, which includes Practice Groups such as Banking & Finance, Public Finance, Real Estate, Restructuring, and Structured Finance.
- Engage in substantive legal assignments across various practices and offices of the law firm.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of legal practice, with opportunities to shadow attorneys and participate in national and local trainings.
- Improve legal writing and speaking skills through workshops and training sessions.
- Engage in social and professional networking opportunities designed to foster relationships with fellow Summer Associates and law firm attorneys, through events such as sushi-making classes, baseball games, and other social activities.

Education and Experience Information

To qualify for the 2026 2L Finance Summer Associate position, applicants must meet the following educational and experience criteria:

- Be a rising 2L (class of 2027) pursuing a JD at an ABA-accredited law school.
- 2Ls enrolled in a part-time program or pursuing a JD/MBA degree at an ABA-accredited law school, who are not graduating in 2027, are also eligible.
- Demonstrated interest in the Finance Business Unit, evidenced by relevant past work experience and/or academic exposure in finance-related fields.

Salary Information

The expected gross salary for the 2026 2L Finance Summer Associate position is $4, per week. The law firm is committed to providing a comprehensive compensation package, which includes:
