Job Overview:

A well-established law firm in East Lansing, MI, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing insurance defense team. The ideal candidate will manage litigation cases, advocate for clients in court, and handle matters related to first-party and third-party No-Fault claims, insurance coverage, dog bite cases, and premises liability. This role involves building strong client relationships and providing high-quality legal representation.

Location:

• East Lansing, Michigan

Duties:

• Manage litigation cases from inception to resolution.

• Provide legal support to clients and assist senior attorneys.

• Handle first-party and third-party No-Fault insurance claims.

• Work on insurance coverage disputes, premises liability, and related matters.

• Negotiate contracts, develop legal agreements, and set claims.

• Advocate for clients in court and other legal proceedings.

• Maintain strong client relationships and provide excellent legal service.

• Prepare legal reports, motions, and other necessary documentation.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense.

• Strong knowledge of Michigan insurance law, No-Fault claims, and liability issues.

• Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.

• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines efficiently.

• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Michigan.

Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
