SUMMARY:
The law firm is seeking an Attorney with experience in Corporate and/or Real Estate law to join their team in Detroit or Troy, Michigan. This position may also consider remote candidates who meet certain qualifications. The Attorney will be responsible for creating legal documents, advising clients on legal transactions, and interpreting laws and regulations in the corporate and real estate practice areas. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and project management skills, excellent research and writing abilities, and the ability to manage client relationships for business development. A portable book of business is preferred, but not required.

H2: Responsibilities and Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Attorney will have the following major responsibilities in the Corporate and/or Real Estate practice areas:
CORPORATE:
- Draft and negotiate business transaction agreements such as buy-sell agreements, mergers and acquisition agreements, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, non-compete and employment agreements.
- Handle mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures; partnerships, LLCs, and joint ventures.
- Prepare regulatory filings and governance documents.
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
- Knowledge of tax laws is a plus.
REAL ESTATE:
- Draft and negotiate real estate transaction documents such as purchase agreements, commercial lease agreements, and conveyance documents.
- Review and resolve title and survey issues, conduct due diligence, and coordinate closings.
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Significant experience in complex Corporate and/or Real Estate matters.
- Portable book of business is preferred but not required.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited law school.
- Admitted to a state bar in the United States, preferably Michigan.

The ideal candidate will have a significant amount of experience in complex Corporate and/or Real Estate matters and be a graduate of an accredited law school.
