Job Title: Manager, International Tax

Job Responsibilities:
- Direct multinational enterprises on crucial business decisions, including where to locate and operate, choice of entity, optimizing supply chains, and accessing and mobilizing capital to fund global operations. This involves considering a multinational's tax risk profile, global effective tax rate, and cash posture.
- Prepare and review complex tax models illustrating multinational entities' attributes, effective tax rate, and cash tax expense.
- Advise multinational enterprises on tax planning decisions, helping clients understand potential short- and long-term considerations and consequences of these decisions at a global level. This is done in the context of their wider business objectives and tax risk profile.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Mergers & Acquisition Tax to structure the tax aspects of multinational private equity and strategic mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, dispositions, and IPOs. This includes drafting tax opinions, memos, structure decks, and Excel models illustrating the tax benefits of alternative structures.
- Assist multinational enterprises with preparing the tax provision for financial statements and reviewing compliance work products. This also includes assisting audit teams with reviewing a company's financial reporting of tax implications arising from global operations and transactions.
- Guide clients on income tax treaty planning opportunities arising from inbound and outbound cross-border investing and trading activities.
- For International Tax professionals working in the alternative investment space, provide the above activities to alternative investment companies and help at all stages of the investment life cycle for both asset managers and portfolio companies operating globally.

Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum five years of recent experience working on engagements involving international, mergers and acquisitions, and/or federal tax planning.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university is required. A master's in Taxation, JD, and/or LLM (with a concentration in tax) is preferred.
- Licensed CPA, EA, or JD/LLM, or any other approved credential as per the company's listing. Individuals without at least one approved designation/credential at the commencement of employment have one year from their hire date to obtain one.
- Knowledge of a broad range of international and domestic tax law provisions.
- Strong research and writing skills, Excel modeling, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to balance and lead multiple engagements, contribute positively to client service teams, supervise, and assist with the development and training of new and experienced staff professionals.
- Ability to develop and deepen client relationships and expand the company's footprint in local and global markets while collaborating with both . and . company teams to deliver the right services to clients.

Salary Information:

California Salary Range: $106,300 - $203,700
