Job Title: Consumer Litigation Counsel (Remote)
Job Responsibilities:
As a Consumer Litigation Counsel within the Litigation/Labor & Employment practices at a law firm, you will engage in various responsibilities that include managing high-volume single plaintiff consumer litigation cases. Your duties will involve working directly with opposing counsel, drafting motions and pleadings, negotiating settlements, handling court appearances, and preparing cases for trial. You will collaborate on interesting, challenging, and groundbreaking cases alongside senior attorneys. The role includes substantive client contact and significant involvement in case strategy and management. This position is a non-partnership track role, which is full-time but does not require performing non-billable work, allowing for a balanced schedule that promotes healthy integration of work responsibilities and personal activities.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must possess at least 5 years of general litigation experience, with a preference for single plaintiff work. Experience in Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) litigation and/or other consumer litigation is preferred. The ideal candidate will have top law firm experience or a combination of law firm and in-house experience. Essential skills include a strong work ethic, the ability to drive cases to resolution, excellent academic credentials, and strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
