Job Title:
Tax Transaction Advisory Services- SALT Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as a technical tax resource for State and Local Taxes on M&A transactions, including tax structuring and tax due diligence (Tax Transaction Advisory Services) services.
- Deliver state and local compliance services and value-added consulting solutions to clients through work on multi-state income tax, franchise tax, sales and use tax, gross receipts tax, and property tax matters.
- Provide technical application on a variety of buy and sell side transactions, including the State and Local tax implications of tax structuring projects, tax modeling of after-tax proceeds, review of transactions, and tax due diligence.
- Assist with the implementation of tax planning opportunities in the SALT area identified during diligence and manage any findings identified.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to staff in the advancement of their individual skills and competencies.
- Develop and execute a practice development plan including networking, new client development, and client expansion activities.
Education and Experience Information:
- 5+ years recent tax experience in public accounting with a specialization in SALT tax.
- Successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree.
- CPA or Bar License required.
- Proficiency in tax planning and reporting issues relevant for corporate consolidated returns, S corporation returns, partnership returns, and state tax returns.
- Experience advising clients on the tax implications of various transactions.
- Experience supervising staff on engagements and managing client relationships.
- Approximately 25% overnight travel is required.
Salary Information:
- Compensation is commensurate with technical skills and experience and is provided in accordance with applicable state requirements.
- Colorado monthly base range is $8, to $15,.
- Illinois monthly base range is $8, to $15,.

- This is a full-time exempt position, which may require working hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.
