Job Title: Tax Experienced Manager, Corporate/ASC740

Job Responsibilities:

The Core Tax Services Experienced Manager – ASC740 is tasked with advising clients on the tax implications of their business objectives. This includes evaluating and selecting alternative actions to reduce tax burden and compliance costs, identifying different methods of complying with tax regulations, and acting as the primary client contact for complex corporate tax and ASC 740 tax issues. Key responsibilities include:

- Tax Compliance: Ensure clients comply with all applicable authorities while minimizing their tax and reporting burdens. Conduct top-level review of tax returns, resolve tax issues, communicate with clients and Assurance on tax accrual reviews, manage client relationships, and provide timely advice.
- Research: Identify when research is needed, frame issues for research, report analysis, train managers/staff on research skills, and involve firm specialists as needed.
- ASC 740-10 Tax Accruals: Apply firm policies and standards regarding ASC 740, communicate with Assurance team for tax accrual reviews, review tax provisions, manage Specialized Tax Services as needed.
- Tax Consulting: Assist with developing and implementing methods to maximize client benefits, consider applicability of consulting specialties, serve as a technical resource, ensure compliance with Written Tax Advice, assist with exam support, and delegate projects to seniors and associates.
- Tax Specialization: Develop understanding of technical and practical issues in taxation, organize internal training sessions, train and mentor managers/seniors/associates on ASC 740.
- Strategy Development: Develop ideas to improve client and firm positions, lead marketing campaigns, present complex strategies, and collaborate with National Tax and Specialized Tax Services for high-quality deliverables.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

- Supervise associates and senior associates on projects.
- Review work prepared by associates and senior associates, provide review comments.
- Train associates and seniors on software tools.
- Act as a Career Advisor to associates and senior associates.
- Schedule and manage workload of associates and senior associates.
- Provide verbal and written performance feedback to associates and senior associates.

Education and Experience Information:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation is required. A Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of six years of prior experience is required. Experience in managing the process of preparing and auditing ASC740 computations for both privately held and publicly traded clients is required, along with prior supervisory experience. Multinational client experience is preferred.

License/Certifications:

- CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a . jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (CE) is required.

Software:

- Preferred experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and tax research databases such as BNA and RIA. Proficiency in tax compliance process software including GoFileRoom, GoSystemRS, Caseware, BNA Depreciation Software, or comparable programs is preferred.
