Job Responsibilities

As an Employment Litigation Associate, you will have the opportunity to defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination. You will represent clients in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration, handling cases such as class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete agreements. Additionally, you will provide advice and counsel to employers on various labor and employment laws and regulations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a JD from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials. You should also have at least 3 years of litigation experience, with a strong background in employment law preferred. Active admission to the Washington State Bar or the ability to obtain admission quickly is required. Additionally, you should have a solid understanding of current court and employment-related agency procedures. Excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence are also essential. The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is crucial, as well as a commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork.

Salary and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is between $180,000 and $228,000, with eligibility for annual bonuses. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. Jackson Lewis . also offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending and health savings accounts, firm-paid holidays, vacation, and sick time, as well as an employee assistance program and other firm benefits.
