Job Title: Tax Director - Private Companies
Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Director within the department, you will play a crucial role in assisting private companies with their business advisory needs, focusing on areas such as audit, tax compliance, and planning to improve operational efficiency and enable strategic business focus. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire business life cycle of a private company, from inception to growth, maturity, and transition. You will assist clients in designing and implementing personalized and customized service plans tailored to privately owned entities, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals. Key issues you will address include wealth management, compliance, cash flow management, equity expansion, divestiture, and exit strategies.
As a leader, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Your responsibilities will include:

Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 8 years
Certification(s) Required:
- CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrates thought leader-level knowledge and/or a proven record of success in assisting companies to understand and assess the tax impact of business, operations, and transactions across multiple jurisdictions. This is preferably for a global network of professional services firms, law firms, or the corporate tax department of a multinational company.
- Apply deep understanding of tax compliance and consulting for various entities, including corporations, partnerships, pass-through entities, and Subchapter S corporations.
- Demonstrate technical prowess with ASC740.
- Identify and address client needs and develop and sustain client relationships.
- Use networking, negotiation, and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities.
- Prepare and present complex written and verbal materials.
- Define resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collection.
- Lead teams to generate a vision, establish direction, and motivate members.
- Create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, and encourage improvement and innovation.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $140,900 - $434,000, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range. Actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
