Job Title: Engagement Consultation Manager

Job Responsibilities:
As an Engagement Consultation Manager within the Risk, Compliance, and Governance department, the primary focus is on maintaining regulatory compliance, particularly regarding auditor independence rules and their implications within the professional services environment. The role involves:

- Collaborating closely with Partners, Principals, Managing Directors, and Senior Managers within both the department and service lines of the company.
- Providing guidance to leadership, including Lead Client Service Partners and Professional Practice Directors, on various engagement-related independence matters.
- Analyzing client services and relationships in the context of independence requirements, which encompasses:
- Services and relationships with clients both within and outside the .
- Issues arising from client mergers, acquisitions, or IPOs.
- Reviewing client corporate structures, investment interests, and terms to identify affiliates as defined by independence rules.
- Conducting research and analysis, drafting conclusions and communications, and strategizing next steps in collaboration with senior team members.
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of AICPA, SEC, and PCAOB independence rules and the company's Independence policies.
- Interpreting and implementing regulations regarding permissible non-attest services for the company's . entities and offering advice to client-facing teams.
- Participating in policy setting through research and drafting communications to enhance awareness and understanding of independence rules.
- Creating and updating training courses and materials to address rule changes and new interpretations.
- Working on special projects both independently and collaboratively with senior members and engagement teams.

Education and Experience Information:
- Required: Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, finance, business, compliance, or legal.
- Required: 5 - 8+ years of related experience, ideally in a professional services role and environment.
- Required: Proficiency in standard office productivity tools (., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams).
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
- Ability to travel 0-10% on average, depending on work and client needs.
- Preferred: Understanding of Independence requirements for professional auditing firms.
- Preferred: Experience in regulatory compliance, rule analysis, and interpretation.
- Preferred: Experience in public accounting.
- Preferred: Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP standards.
- Preferred: . CPA and/or advanced degree in related areas such as finance, accounting, business, or law.

Salary Information:
The wage range for this role considers various factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications. The disclosed range estimate is $114,600-$191,000. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, as compensation decisions depend on the specifics of each case. Additionally, candidates may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the program's rules and based on individual and organizational performance.
