Duties:

  • Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, and domestic violence.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents such as petitions, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research to stay updated on family law changes and ensure optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Manage an individual caseload and ensure the timely resolution of cases.
  • Provide compassionate legal counsel to clients, navigating emotionally charged situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to develop strategies for complex family law cases.
  • Participate in mediation and negotiation processes to secure the best solutions for clients.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Washington State.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in family law, with familiarity in both family court and criminal court settings.
  • Strong ability to delegate tasks and collaborate with staff and fellow attorneys.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to simplify complex legal issues for clients.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a high-volume caseload.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Commitment to accurate time entry and billing practices.
  • Drive to develop a book of business utilizing the firm’s marketing tools.
  • Alignment with the firm’s mission of delivering compassionate, results-driven service.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Valid Bar license in Washington State.

Skills:

  • Expertise in family law, including divorce, child custody, and child support.
  • Proven ability to handle a fast-paced, high-volume caseload.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage cases effectively.
