Job Responsibilities:
Tax Services Interns at the company serve as integral members of client service teams. Their responsibilities include:
- Assisting with researching tax laws, rules, and regulations and analyzing their application to specific situations, which involves drafting memorandums to justify decisions or outline solutions.
- Participating and aiding in select phases of tax compliance engagements, including individual, estate, gift, and fiduciary tax returns.
- Collaborating as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience to help clients solve complex business issues.
- Proactively seeking guidance, clarification, and feedback to enhance understanding and performance.
- Supporting select projects by demonstrating creative thinking and individual initiative while working collaboratively as a team member.
- Demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks while maintaining professional skepticism.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Tax Services Intern position must meet the following educational and experience criteria:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, and/or an advanced degree in Accounting, Taxation, JD, or LLM.
- Eligible students should be in their 3rd year of a 4-year degree program or in their 4th year of a 5-year degree program. Interns typically join the company during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year.
- A minimum GPA of is required.
- Strong leadership, multitasking, and organizational skills are essential.
- Candidates should be self-starters with the initiative to seek out opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with various levels of client and company management through both written and verbal communication are necessary.
- Before starting full-time, it is preferred that students will be eligible to sit for the primary credential exam appropriate for the relevant practice area, such as having 150 credit hours to sit for the CPA exam in certain states.
