Duties

  • Handle a wide range of personal injury cases, including bicycle, pedestrian, motor vehicle collisions, and workplace injuries.
  • Manage pre-litigation cases, including interactions with liability insurers and reviewing medical records.
  • Represent clients in Oregon state courts, handling motion practice, depositions, and trials.
  • Collaborate with clients, witnesses, and experts to develop effective case strategies.
  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Provide counsel to clients, explaining legal options and helping them navigate the claims process.
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of litigation experience in Oregon state courts.
  • Experience with motion practice, depositions, and trial work.
  • A background in personal injury law is preferred, but not essential for the right candidate.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Passion for helping clients and advocating on their behalf.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to practice law in Oregon.

Skills

  • Proficient in legal research and drafting legal documents such as motions and pleadings.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client and team collaboration.
